Famous singer and rapper Doja Cat opens up about her non-existent relationship with her father, Dumisani Dlamini, and says she has never met him.
One of the most talked about things when it comes to Doja Cat is her father. The singer has often stated that they do not have a relationship. Recently appearing in an interview with Ebro, Doja opened up about her relationship with him. She said,
“I’ve never met my dad. He’s so good at dancing, he’s a goated dancer. There is a video my mom showed me where he performed on Broadway. He has so much ability and incredible talent when it comes to dance.
Ebro asked her if she had been to South Africa, and she replied,
“I still haven’t. I rely on my career to throw me out to places. I don’t have pockets of time to travel ’cause I don’t like flying, especially long flights like that. I know it means a lot and would mean a lot.”
Doja’s mom, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, was previously married to her father. However, he recently married another woman named Ophelia Mulela. He paid Lobola for her in September 2023 and was welcomed by her family with an Umembeso ceremony. He wrote,
“My wife’s family and other guests who were there were very welcoming, and that really made me feel great.”
