Ex-Ukhozi FM DJ Linda Sibiya celebrates with photos after ditching ANC and joining EFF’s Durban Chapter.
According to reports, former loyalist of the opposing African National Congres (ANC) Linda Sibiya has left the party behind and joined the Economic Freedom Fighters’ Durban Chapter in a move Mzansi believes was made because of money. This all happened on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
Deputy president of the EFF, Floyd Shivambu, reportedly took to the X app to welcome the former Ukhozi FM DJ with a shocking tweet saying:
“Welcome Fighter @Linda_Sibiya (Mr. Magic) to the Economic Emancipation Movement. Ward 25 in the region of @Ethekwini_EFF, the @EFFKZN, and the @EFFSouthAfrica is always blessed to receive dutiful members who are committed to the ground!”
The news came as a shock to Mzansi because Sibiya has always been known to be a staunch member of the ANC. They reacted with comments. @Mtho2ko wrote, “This is how the ANC started to lose relevance, it recruited people who did not share its values. Soon the true ground forces will be sidelined in favour of these heavyweights. This is too soon.”
@sanko_malindi mocked the move, “Lol. Hunger is calling therefore Parliament gig is the answer.” While @zenzo99815279 wrote, “Just a hungry artist trying to survive through these difficult times, as soon they get ANC tendencies they are gone.”
