Gwen Stefani admits to being confused by Blake Shelton waiting so long to propose.
Last year, “Hollaback Girl” hit maker, Gwen Stefani revealed on social media that Country music star, Blake Shelton had finally asked her to marry him. This happened after five years together. Of course, every other girl would have wondered why it didn’t happen sooner.
In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon on his late night show, the star revealed that she was a bit confused by the delay. Of course, that’s expected. She also revealed that she had expected him to propose a while ago but I didn’t happen. Stefani stated that she didn’t see it coming when it finally happened.
“Wasn’t expecting it at the moment that it happened, at all. Didn’t have any idea, nobody knew. I think he had told my dad on my birthday about two weeks earlier, and I gotta tell you, I was sorta like, What’s happening with us?”
She further stated that he had told her dad about it on her birthday a few weeks before. Sadly, due to the global pandemic, it would take them a while to start planning the wedding. Reacting to this, Gwen stated that she wishes he had proposed sooner.
She also revealed that they have no wedding plans due to the pandemic. She described it like “sitting around going, OK, drag it out more”.
