The announcement of a new season for reality television show Idols SA should have pleased many in the Rainbow Nation, but the responses to the announcement have been mostly lukewarm.
Clearly, many are unimpressed with a new season coming on the heels of the recently concluded one. In a tweet days ago, Idols SA, using its verified Twitter handle, had announced it will be opening its website for what it called the biggest online audition it’d ever done.
The announcement drew mixed reactions from tens of unimpressed fans, who inundated the handle with questions. Most of those who responded to the post were irritated that Idols SA does not promote the winner.
In 5 DAYS we're opening up the #IdolsSA website for the biggest Online Audition run we've ever done! All in the name of keeping you SAFE.
Here's the full lowdown!

One respondent even claimed that last year’s winner had not received the cash prize of R1 million. A Twitter user who goes by the handle @Ntokozo_Malevu stated that they probably threw the winner of the last season into the ocean, leaving her to fend for herself.
The criticisms are still pouring in, and it doesn’t look like there would be ab ebd to them soon.
