It is the end of an era for rapper Jezzy and his wife Jeannie Mai, as the former has just filed for divorce after just two years of marriage.
According to multiple reports, Jeezy filed for divorce from his TV personality wife on Thursday at Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County.
It is unclear what provoked the divorce filing, as it was not given, except the usual generic “the marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken” and that there is no hope for reconciliation.
The news of the divorce filing came as a surprise to most fans. Apparently, they had not seen it coming and were something sad that the two had called it quits in just two years of being married.
By the way, the couple started dating back in 2018. Three years later, in 2021, they got married. A year after their marriage rights, in 2022, they welcomed their first child – a girl. Sadly, a year after that, the marriage was over.
Things happened to have moved pretty fast for the couple – from when they started dating, right down to when they decided that their relationship had broken down irretrievably and it was best to go their separate way. As one fan noted, life happened.
