A little dram is playing out in South Africa’s social media over Sjava, Lady Zamar and Jub Jub. But what could have caused all three of them to be trending at the same time? What binds them together such that they are collectively topics of conversation at the same time?
The past, and has it has seemingly refused to be forgotten – that is the simplest answer.
Years ago, Lady Zamar claimed that Sjava raped her and that he was abusive to her when they were together. The claim reverberated back then and almost buried the BET Award-winning rapper’s career. But he managed to weather the storm.
The case was thrown out for lack of sufficient evidence. But Lady Zamar has refused to give up. Now and then, she would come up with the narrative of abuse. But it appears some South Africans have had enough of her attack on Sjava. They are firing shots at her online while defending Sjava.
Jub Jub is somehow catching strays from the whole drama, as some tweeps are also sharing how he was abusive to Kelly Khumalo and how the “Dance Comigo” had shared pictures of her battered face from one of his assaults on her. Some even pointed out how he had killed innocent students in a drunk driving incident years ago.
