L-Tido Pours Vodka On AKA’s Grave To Celebrate His Birthday

SA Hip Hop star L-Tido visited AKA’s grave and poured vodka on it to celebrate his birthday.

On Sunday, 28 January, Mzansi celebrated what would have been AKA’s 36th birthday. The iconic rapper was taken from his fans and family when he was shot while leaving a restaurant in Durban. The SA Hip Hop scene has not been the same since.

His girlfriend Nadia Nakai revealed how they celebrated him. She shared a video of herself with his daughter, Kairo Forbes, her mom, DJ Zinhle, and his parents, Lynn and Tony Forbes, visiting his grave. They released 36 biodegradable balloons into the sky at Kairo’s request.

L-Tido, who loved the late rapper, also revealed that he visited his grave. He shared a video of himself pouring vodka on the grave to celebrate the slain emcee. He captioned it,

“Happy birthday Kiernan we miss you bro ️ they’ll never be another.”

The video received mixed reactions from fans. While some called it disrespectful, others thought there was nothing wrong with it.

@rizwase questioned the reason for it, “What’s the point of pouring alcohol on the grave?” @FutureBite also reacted, “This is so unnecessary.” @ZizinjaAbelungu wrote, “This is disrespectful to the dead. Yi Kaka le.”
