Famous Mzansi singer Lira celebrates turning 45 after announcing that she would be returning to the stage soon.
Lerato Moipone Molapo, famously known as Lira, recently celebrated her 45th birthday on 14 March. The star took to her Instagram page, shared three pictures from a photo shoot, and wrote,
“It’s my birthday.”
The singer had previously announced her imminent to the stage at Baseline Fest to celebrate Africa Day. The announcement was shared by Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, who wrote,
“Lira returns to LIVE performances. Bassline Fest will be celebrating Africa Day with the Queen of Afro Soul, Lira, on the 25th of May at Constitution Hill. This will be her first show with a band, after two years recovering from a stroke. The festival will start at 3pm and end at 11pm.”
Fellow celebs and fans have now taken to social media and wished the singer well. Nhlanhla Mafu reacted, “Love you to the moon and back, happy birthday my sweetheart.” Brenda Mtambo also wrote, “Happy birthday Lee, I love you.”
@NancyNkosi3 showed love to Lira, “A beautiful soul this one. I used to get a lot of her hugs when I worked in Northcliff Butchery love her.” khoza_bonnie wrote, “Happy birthday to the super star, one of the greatest.”
