Major League DJz Say “Rosebank Community Didn’t Want Us There” In Zoo Lake Apology

Famous Amapiano duo have released an apology concerning their event in Zoo Lake saying “Rosebank community didn’t want us there.”

Major League DJz have released a statement apologizing for their “Balcony Mix Africa” event at Zoo Lake. The event was not a success as attendees complained about some artists performing longer than others, and many other mishaps.

The duo released a statement that read,

“Apologies for everything people experience. What a stressful event for us too. Just getting a venue like Zoolake and all the rules and laws it comes with was particularly impossible to pull off… Our sound was monitored throughout the event by JOC. Each hour it was measured. The Rosebank community didn’t want us there. That’s why they are no events at Zoolake. We fought to the very end where even the police themselves pulled the plug of the sound and continued to pull our liquor license if we sell any alcohol after 8pm.”

“Alot happened yesterday. Regarding set times artists were late for the times. That’s some we can’t control. Lastly we as young people need to fight with government to allow us to do event in and around Johannesburg. It’s not fair that we can only do events where we close at 2am and play the sound a decent volume in the township. Not fair at all. The event is growing and they don’t want the numbers we attract. So it’s something we need to work on. Or maybe just get a farm somewhere to party.”
