Like father, like son. That is what many South Africans are saying right now following the unveiling of a video that showed the late Mmpintsha’s son, Sponge Wodumo, dancing. The clip went viral in no time.
The video was shared by none other than the kid’s mother, babes Wodumo, on her official Instagram page. In the video, the kid could be seen in the company of adults, in a sitting position and shaking his body rhythmically in what was seen as a dance move by many people.
For many, it brought back memories of the kid’s late father, who died on Christmas Eve last year following what was then reported to be a mild stroke. You can check out the clip below.
Sponge’s birth was riddled with controversy, but the kid is already flying, having released a number in collaboration with his mother. When Babes Wodumo was pregnant with the kid, her mother-in-law had mocked her pregnancy, claiming she wasn’t pregnant but was using a sponge to cover her stomach to give the illusion of pregnancy.
Apparently, that was what made Babes and her late husband call the baby Sponge- most likely to spite her or make her look foolish.
