Maps Maponyane says he’s grateful for the opportunity as he opens up about his time on The Masked Singer SA.
He said, “It’s been an experience because I’m obviously not in the music industry, and it’s not something I do as a profession. I’m the kind of person who would sing in the shower or something, and I love music, don’t get me wrong.”
He spoke about how the opportunity made him feel, saying, “But to think that I got that I have never gotten an opportunity to go out of my comfort zone, be on stage, be able to perform, and it’s one of those things you dream of doing even if it’s just for fun. It was a great experience,”
Maps revealed his thoughts when he got the call to join the show. “Ey, I was so confused when I got the call, hey, ’cause I asked, ‘Me? You want me to sing?’ and that does not make any sense. And then I realise that maybe like they were trying just to say I don’t, you might have something, and also they were trying to mix different people.”
