Media, Alcohol Ban For Oscar Pistorius, Out On Parole On Friday

Convicted Paralympian Oscar Pistorius is heading out of chain this Friday after serving time in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva. He leaves prison with some restrictions, however.

According to multiple reports, Oscar leaves prison expressly banned from taking alcohol and from speaking to the press.

Of course, the moment he leaves prison, he becomes a subject of even greater interest, with members of the press keen for an interview with him. But the authorities have made it known he mustn’t speak to the press after being released on parole on Friday.

Of particular interest to South Africans, though, is the alcohol part, with some of them wondering how it can be enforced. It’s not like after he’s released, the authorities will be following him everywhere and watching what he does 24 hours a day.

Well, it’s been a long sprint to parole for Oscar, who has consistently denied knowing killing Reeva with whom he was in a relationship for a while. Interstingly, he killed her on a day many associate with love and the beautiful – February 14.

It remains to be seen how Oscar’s life will play out after he is released on parole. Of course, the world is watching.
