Amid the spectre of YNW Melly’s murder trial, rappers Meek Mill and Boosie Badazz are showing support for the songster.
Both of them have made tweets affirming their faith in YNW Melly’s innocence and wishing him victory as his trial by jury draws close.
The Florida rapper is accused of murdering his two pals and associates, Christopher “YNW Juvy” Thomas Jr. and Anthony “YNW Sakchaser” Williams, in 2018.
The trial was to have begun earlier with a jury selection process. But the process was said to have been delayed because of some unresolved legal issues. There is, therefore, no trial date yet.
The lack of a trial date has not stopped YNW Melly’s fans from insisting on his innocence and wishing him an acquittal when the process commences.
In a tweet, Meek Mill had declaimed Melly’s innocence and asked that he be freed. He asked people to watch the facts, so Melly doesn’t get railroaded when the trial commences in Florida.
For his part, Boosie Badazz had noted that he’s in prayers for Melly. He recalled a time when Melly had shown him so much generosity. Now he’s keen to return the favour. He’s bringing together an army of prayer warriors to pray for Melly’s acquittal and freedom.
But will their prayers be answered?
