Moja Love Strengthen Security Measures For “Sizokthola” Crew Amid Death Threats

South African station Moja Love has promised to prioritise the safety of the crew of Sizokthola, a show that seeks to expose drug use and the people behind the drug trade across South Africa.

When the show first launched, it was greeted with rapture across Soputyh Africa. As far as many South Africans were concerned, it was a show that the country needed badly, especially given the prevailing problem of drug abuse.

Understandably, the drug lords were not happy with the show’s coming and they started a campaign against it, using whatever means were available, including targetting crew members and issuing threats.

It got so bad that the African Transformation Movement, the body behind the show, had to write to the South African police affairs minister, Bheki Cele, and the minister of justice, Ronald Lamola, seeking intervention in the battle against the drug lords and to stay safe.

Moja Love has confirmed that indeed the team has been receiving threats and it is taking the threats seriously. Now, according to the station, it has taken measures to strengthen the security around the crew member.

Hopefully, the measures are powerful enough to keep the crew safe. We are watching and will bring you more details. Stay tuned.
