The late Mpura’s brother Kagiso Stuurman has opened up about his and Killer Kau’s passing in 2021.
Amapiano fans were left heartbroken in 2021 when the news broke that Killer Kau and Mpura had died in a car accident. The two were known for their significant contributions to the promotion of the genre in the country and outside.
According to reports, they were killed in a car accident on the N4 in Rustenburg. Also unveiled in the accident were Khanya ‘The Voice’ Hadebe, DJ Thando Tot, and TD. The driver of the other vehicle also lost his life in the crash.
Two years and six months after the passing, Mpura’s brother Kagiso Stuurman has opened up about it while talking about his brother’s life. He appeared in an interview on the YouTube podcast by Hazel Mahazard, where he spoke about the accident and how people thought his brother and his friends would be the cause.
He also shared that he saw the state of the vehicle. According to him, he was pained that Mpura was seated in the passenger seat when it happened. He also revealed that his family did not let anyone see his body because they would have had nightmares because of it.
He also said that his brother was a happy soul when he was alive.
