Murdah Bongz Scores An NAACP Award

Famous Afro House DJ and producer Murdah Bongz has won an NAACP Award for the Soundtrack ‘Mysterious Ways’ Remix with Brendan Praise.

Our favourite hitmakers keep making us proud. Murdah Bongz has joined a list of hitmakers who have put a smile on the faces of their South African fans with their moves abroad. The star announced that he won an award at the recently held NAACP Awards.

Bongz contributed the song ‘Mysterious Ways’ Remix with Brendan Praise to the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed American movie titled “The Color Purple.” The soundtrack won the category celebrating “Black excellence for the Outstanding Soundtrack/ Album Compilation category.”

Bongz wrote on Instagram,

“Well would you look at that. I am an @naacp award winner thanks to mine and @brendenpraise contribution to the Soundtrack Mysterious Ways (Remix) on the 11 awards winning @thecolorpurple movie. Big thank you and equal congratulations to @gamma and all the other musicians that contributed to the soundtrack album. Look at God guys,”

He also recently got criticized by fans for his dance moves during a set.

@Mk_ka_Hadebe hinted that he might be learning from the LGBTQ+ “I’m sure his choreographer is the rainbow gang.”

@TruthTeller_99 replied, “At some point he’ll need to come up with something else now.”

@SinovuyoMkiva wrote, “He’s close to twerking… Don’t eat me up, I’m a widow.”
