It would have been just another birthday, something done quietly. But South Africans got wind of some details and went to town to celebrate one of their own on his birthday – Njabulo Blom.
The footballer is pretty private about most aspects of his life, so many South Africans didn’t know when he was blown until it was revealed on his birthday. The revelation left many of them surprised, as they thought he looked way younger than his age..
The striker was born on December 11, 1999, which makes him 24 years old at the time of writing. He started his football career with the youth team of the top-flight South African club Kaizer Chiefs. He stood out as part of that team and was eventually elevated to the senior side.
Blom has seen much action on the pitch, for team and for country. One of his most memorable appearances, though, was as part of the South African U20 team that competed in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2019.
His appearance as part of the team was significant because it was in the same year that he was elevated to the senior side at Kaizer Chiefs. Well, a happy birthday to you, Njabulo Blom.
