Mzansi Emotional As Lynn Forbes Shares Old Clip Of AKA Playing With Kairo & Their Dogs

It is hard to let go when you have a deep bond with someone, more so when that someone is your child. This has been the reality of Lynn Forbes, mother of the slain South African rapper AKA.

The “Touch My Blood” chanter was assassinated on February 10 last year, soon after he walked out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban in the company of his friends, including his former manager Tibz.

Investigation into his killing has been on since but with the police seemingly making no serious progress. Regardless. The family of the late musician has been memorializing him at every opportunity they get.

Lynn Forbes amplified this reality once again by sharing an old clip of AKA out in the open and playing with his only daughter Kairo Owethu Forbes and two of their dogs. It was a beautiful binding moment that left some South Africans sighing.

In the caption to her post, Lynn Forbes dropped a cryptic “Never leave,” followed by a white heart emoji. You can check out the post below.

Many South Africans found the post touching. They camped in the comment section to, once again, remember their idol whose brilliant rap career was cut mid-passage.
