Mzansi Seemingly Unimpressed With Naledi Aphiwe’s Christmas Song For Chris Brown – Watch

Christmas came and South African singer Naledi Aphiwe decided it should be a special woman for American singer Chris Brown, so she decided to sing for him at Christmas. It was one move many didn’t see coming. The outcome was a mixed reaction from South Africans.

Naledi Aphiwe rose to fame after her rendition of a local tune caught the attention of the American, who reached out, eventually using her voice as part of his album. That gesture on Chris Brown’s part catapulted Naledi into the consciousness of her compatriots.

Besides that, her name also started buzzing across other spaces in Africa. For many, she had “arrived.” And for some, she is well on her way to global resonance. Of course, she got paid by Chris Brown for the use of her voice.

This Christmas, Naledi took to Instagram where she shared a video in which she wished Chis Brown a Merry Christmas. She didn’t tag him, however. Some South Africans were unimpressed with the clip she shared, asking her in the comment section to “tone it down” and not become a nuisance. You can check out the post below.

What Naledi decides to make of people’s opinions is entirely up to her. The point is, people will always talk.
