Mzansi Youth Choir Bags First-ever Audience Golden Buzzer At America’s Got Talent Audition

Mzansi Youth Choir makes the country proud as they bag the first-ever audience Golden Buzzer following a mind-blowing performance at America’s Got Talent auditions.

South Africa has been enjoying so much spotlight from her children this year. The Mzansi Youth Choir went all the way to America for the AGT auditions and has already made us proud.

The group hit the stage and performed Nightbirde’s hit song “It’s Ok,” and the audience was thrilled. Nightbirde had contested in the 16th season of the show but dropped out as her health deteriorated. She later died in February 2022. She is always remembered for her beautiful music.

Mzansi Youth Choir’s performance of “It’s Ok” brought everyone to tears, including Simon. As the audience chanted for the golden buzzer, Simon kicked off what would be the first audience-chosen golden buzzer. “This was an incredible experience for the choir members who work very hard and finally handled that pressure with such grace,” said Mzansi Youth Choir artistic director and choreographer Alfred Phakathi.
