Days after the KwaZulu-Natal police announced that had made some breakthroughs in the investigation into AKA’s assassination, the late rapper’s childhood friend Sim Dopes, his DJ, Don Design, and his girlfriend at the time he was killed, Nadia Nakai, had a party and enjoyed each other’s company.
It is the sort of good news that actually motivates – the report of the breakthrough in the investigations. But critics of the police are not impressed. Some even claimed that the update from the police authorities would jeopardise investigations and cause the killers to flee.
Anyway, Nadia Nakai, Sim Dopes and Don Design had a wonderful time and they shared snaps from the event on their social media pages. Of the three associates, only Don Design was present at the time AKA was murdered.
In fact, from looking at the CCTV footage, some tweeps had come up with the theory that Don Design was a part of the group that killed AKA and had given intel to the person who pulled the trigger and killed the “Fela in Versace” rapper at point-blank range.
He denied any involvement in the killing and was even fortunate to have AKA’s mother defend him and call her his son.
