Dreams can come true, and for most people, when this happens, it is a reason to be jubilant and to inform the world of that triumph. South African actress Nambitha Ben-Mazwi has just seen one of her dreams come true as she bags a role in the CBS series “King Shaka.”
The series will bring to life the many colours of Zulu history as well as the reign of one of the Zulu nation’s most controversial kings, Shaka.
Ben-Mazwi isn’t the only South African featuring in the upcoming flick, however. She will be acting alongside compatriots Thando Dlomo, Thapelo Mokoena and Warren Masemola.
Snagging a role in “King Shaka” means so much to Nambitha and she admitted that much in a recent interview. It means a great deal to her because she has always been at the forefront of telling “our stories.” The project is big not just for her but for the producers, who have invested so much into it, as well.
Auditioning for the role wasn’t a walk in the park, according to her. It was rigorous. But at the end of the day, it was actually worth it. And she is more than happy with the outcome.
