Nasty C Is On YouTube’s 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music Class

SA Hip Hop star Nasty C has been included in YouTube’s 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music Class.

Hitting new milestones is nothing new to Nasty C. The talented emcee always wins. He was recently included in YouTube’s 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music Class to commemorate 50 years of Hip Hop.

SAHipHopMag writes that the FIFTY DEEP campaign was initiated by YouTube to pay tribute to the luminaries who have shaped Hip Hop culture. It showcases 2,000 videos from the genre across a range of the platform’s Music playlists. It also incorporates special features across Google platforms.

Nasty C shared his gratitude for being recognized for his influence on the culture through his work. He wrote, “Big Shoutout to @YouTubeMusic for making me part of the 2024 FIFTY DEEP Music class, highlighting iconic Black musicians from around the world! #FIFTYDEEP#YouTubeBlack#OurFlowisForever.”

Speaking about the list, Tuma Basa, YouTube’s Director of Black Music and Culture, highlighted the contributions of these diverse artists and cultures to Hip Hop. He spoke about the impact South African rappers Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C have had on African Hip Hop culture.

“I also want to give respect to the late Sidhu Moose Wala of India for his unique sound. We see hip hop artists from places like Turkey, Germany, France, Korea, Canada, Brazil, and so many more around the world sharing their take on the music and climbing the charts everywhere. I also can’t talk about the world and not mention Africa – shout out to Cassper Nyovest and Nasty C in South Africa.”
