Where is Mandla Mthembu? That’s one question that has been flying around for years after the multimillionaire and former husband of actress Khanyi Mbau vanished without a trace after living an extravagant life and squandering his fortune.

That question gained resonance again recently. This time, though, many are making humour out of the man and how he simply vanished without a trace years ago after falling into hard times.
In his heydays, Mandla was a lavish spender who spared no expense to impress Khanyi Mbau. But then, trouble started along the line as he began to lose money, and began to decline generally. At one point, he was reported chased out of a guest house when he could no longer pay the daily R200 for his space there.
That was it. Mandla Mthembu simply vanished. To this day, it is said that he is still owing several people. But without Mandla in sight and no clue how to reach him, there is nothing his creditors can do.
But some people may have taken it upon themselves to find the man right now. Media personality Sol Pghenduka suggests a documentary, Finding Mandla Mthembu. What will come out of this? Will investigations lead to a breakthrough? Time will tell
