One Year After, Nadia Nakai Waxes Emotional Remembering AKA (Watch)

When you leave a loving family behind, chances are you will still be remembered long after you are gone. At least this has been the reality for South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, who was killed last year in Durban.

This month makes it a year since his brutal assassination. It was an opportunity for his family, as well as his friend at the time of his death, Nadia Nakai, to remember him.

In a post on her official Instagram page, she had shared an old clip of them together. She was sitting on his lap as they shared a hug, happy in each other’s company at the time. In the caption to her post, she regretted the tragedy that consumed his life, stating that it was unfair that his life should be cut in mid-passage. You can check out the post below.

Her words resonated with many of her fans, who camped in the comment section of the post to share their regret over what happened to the songster.

AKA was gunned down alongside his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane soon after he stepped out of Wish Restaurant on Florida Roaf in Durban. A point-blank shot to the head ended his brilliant rap career.
