Rulani Mokwena has shared a message to the fans following the Mamelodi Sundowns’ historic win at the inaugural African Football League.
It has been celebration after celebration in South Africa recently. First, the Springboks brought home the Rugby World Cup, and everyone could not keep calm. Next, the Mamelodi Sundowns won the inaugural African Football League title, and Mzansi has been celebrating.
Rulani Mokwena, coach of the team, has also been in high spirits, and he was spotted in a new video thanking the fans for their support. He stated that all of “this” would not be possible without them. He also showed love to the guys on his team and reminded them they had made history by becoming intercontinental champions. He also stated that it was only the beginning.
Mokwena had previously sung the praises of Themba Zwane, referring to him as ‘a navigator’ for his ability to find his teammates with passes.
He said, “For a player of his magnitude and stature, the leader profile he has, to humbly accept to play in different position and do different things he would normally not do shows the amount of humility, but also shows you the character.”
