Viral eight-year-old star Klein Kwagga makes Mzansi proud as he features on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Dirkco Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen, a.k.a Klein Kwagga, became an internet sensation in 2023 after a video of him dancing on stage at his sister’s concert went viral. He recently made it to The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The singer and host introduced Klein to the audience via video call and said,
“There’s something to be said for those who dance the hardest, knowing pretty much everyone is watching.”
“Kwagga, you have no idea how much joy you have brought me. You would be best friends with my son, I swear.”
She asked his mom, Mercia, how the viral moment first unfolded, and she replied that it’s always how they’ve known the boy to be. She also said he added a few moves they were all surprised to see. She said,
“It was really fun, but that’s how we know little Kwagga. But yes, there were a few moves that we didn’t know of that came out!”
Clarkson encouraged the boy to keep dancing,
“You are my favourite What I’m Liking I’ve had on the show, you are so great. I love you, keep dancing!”
She also called his moves the best dance routine she’s ever featured on her “What I’m Liking” segment and awarded him $1,000.
