A new day and a new revelation in the Senzo Meyiwa murder case which has dragged on for years now. In a move that might not come as a surprise to some of those following the case. a friend of the late Bafana Bafana goalie had implicated Longwe Twala alongside Kelly Khumalo in the late footballer’s murder.
According to a friend of the late Senzo, who presented an affidavit in court, Senzo was in a relationship with Kelly Khumalo’s sister beyond her back – same period he was in a relationship with Kelly. Allegedly the “Dance Comigo” singer had used her sister Zansi e to monitor Senzo, only for the two of them to wound up having an amorous relationship.
Around the same period, the affidavit also claimed that Senzo’s relationship with Longwe was “shaky” and somehow he had suspected that Senzo was shagging his girl behind his back, which seemingly made the situation worse.
Both Longwe and Kelly Khumalo are thus implicated in charges of common purpose, conspiracy to commit murder and the murder of the late footballer. How the case ends is unclear, but Kelly Khumalo has always insisted on her innocence, claiming at some point that Senzo was the only man she had ever loved,
