July end marked exactly two years since South African filmmaker Shona Ferguson died. But he is still very much alive in the hearts of those whose life he impacted, most especially his daughters Alicia and Lesedi.
This much was evident t even before Shona’s death. It remains visible long after he bade the earthly plane farewell following complications from the coronavirus.
On his second death anniversary, both daughters took to their Instagram pages where they shared their thoughts bout their late father.
In her post, Lesedi shared just a picture of her father at home and in a happy frame of mind. In the caption to her post, she signed and then dropped an emotional load about what life was around the same period two years ago when the spectre of death loomed.
A lot has changed since then. She remains broken by her father’s death but is trying to pick up the pieces. Of course, her love for her father remains fresh.
For her part, Alicia shared three pictures of her father. In one of the pictures, she could be seen as she leaned into him. Her caption was just as emotional as she noted that she missed being her father’s personal photographer.
