it is a sad moment for the Kenny Makweng household which has just lost the musicians after a short battle with stroke. He was 54.
A while back, South Africans were stunned by the news that the ZCC Mkhukhu musician was down with a stroke and had been rushed to the hospital. A wave of goodwill and prayers for his recovery followed.
Sadly, life had other plans and he didn’t make it. “It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved gospel icon Kenny Makweng, who passed on after a short illness,” his management said in a statement soon after his passing.
The news of his death left his fans sad and recollecting the days when he was around and active in the music industry. Some wished he didn’t have to leave so soon.
His cause of death should be of great interest to many in the industry because about a year ago, another musician, Mampintsga had died after what was then described as a minor stroke.
