Sonia shares information to correct misinformation about her divorce from Matthew Booth.
There have been varying reports about Sonia and her estranged husband, Matthew Booth. Most of the reports state that the former couple are now divorced while Matthew has moved on with his new girlfriend, Bongani Moller, who was formerly his side chick.
In a recent post shared on her Instagram page, Sonia clarified some of the misinformation surrounding her ended marriage with Matthew. She wrote,
“Let me set the record straight, considering I am tagged on posts with misinformed and incorrect utterances. He filed for divorce on 9 November 2022, she filed for divorce in February 2023. Her divorce was finalized November 2023, ours is still ongoing.”
This means that Sonia and Matthew are not yet officially divorced, but Bongani is. Sonia also recently won a defamation case against Bongani Moller. Reports state that the court ruled that Sonia’s legal fees, alleged to be R75 000, be paid up by her ex-husband’s former side chick now-girlfriend Bongani.
Further reports reveal that Bongani allegedly requested a hearing that has been set for May. Sonia also reacted to the news, saying the case is not for those with “little purses.” Matthew and Bongani are now Instagram official.
