This much was evident at the National Film and TV Awards where she won a trophy for Real Housewives Of Johannesburg, a reality show in which she is an executive producer.
She won the Award through her production company, Sonia Mbele Films (SMF). The company snagged the Best Non-Scripted Show award for the Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ). It was a win that she might not have expected but was glad to have anyway.
In a statement after the win, the mother of one thanked the organizers of the award for recognizing her contributions in creating the soaraway reality show. She also noted how this season was especially hard because she was dealing with health issues.
But her weekly iron drips and oxygen tank sessions had saved her life. Her win means a lot because she is alive to actually be honoured despite all the challenges she faced in the period. Well, congratulations are in order for the SMF film boss. Maybe this is just the beginning.
