Proteas captain Temba Bavuma, wearing a Kaizer Chiefs jersey, goes viral on social media.
The dream of many South Africans to welcome two champions from different teams was cut short recently when the Proteas lost to India. The team delivered a poor performance at the semi-finals and lost with 16 balls left.
While some have shared their thoughts about it on social media, others have criticized the Proteas caption Temba Bavuma for “not doing a great job like Siya Kolisi.” Note that these are captains of two different sports. However, some praised Bavuma for leading the team well in all their previous games.
It seems Bavuma is not bothered by all the criticism. He showed the world how much of a Kaizer Chiefs fan he is by wearing their jersey and posting a photo of it. He captioned it, “I hope I’m not too late for the start of the season. Thank you @kcfofficial for once again khosifying me.” The picture won him some love from fans.
