Coachella is one of the biggest music festivals out there, Founded years ago, it has managed to become an annual staple that many an aspiring musician would love to perform at. But then, not everyone gets the opportunity to perform on the Coachella stage.
For non-Americans who perform, it is usually a big deal. Well, at least The Joy indicated this much in how they responded to their appearance on the Coachella stage. It was a moment of triumph for them and they celebrated it in no small way.
Interestingly, the triumph was as much theirs as it was South Africans. The point? South Africans felt their win was also a win for every other South African and for the country’s music. Here, they have a point, perhaps.
