Tony Forbes says he didn’t think his late son, AKA and Anele Tembe, were a good match.
AKA’s dad, Tony Forbes, has opened up about his late son’s former controversial relationship with Anele Tembe. He shared that the two were at different stages in their lives, and that made it challenging for their relationship
“Personally, my view, Kiernan and Anele they were in different stages of their lives. This is my personal view and I dont speak for anybody else, I’m not sure that they were good for each other, as a father’s view,” he said.
“There’s a context, so if you look at that video where he breaks down the door, it doesn’t show what happens after that. It doesn’t show what happened before, so you dont know why is he breaking down the door.”
He also shared that there will be an inquest into Anele’s death next year. He said the aim is to share undisclosed parts of the story, so the world would understand the events leading up to Tembe’s death.
“I think that what has been put out into the public domain has been very one-sided and up until Kiernan’s passing he refused to speak out and bring out his side to the point of pointing out issues in Anele. So I think largely there’s a one-sided view of things and with time the other side of the story will be told. Naturally, it has been told as part of the inquest in Anele’s death.”
