Viral Video: Babes Wodumo Insists She Wasn’t In Danger

Babes Wodumo is not in danger – or so she says, after a video showing her screaming for help emerged online.

A Twitter user had shared the video which showed the “Gqom Queen” screaming for help while members of the South Africa Police Services (SAPS) tried to intervene.

The video, which has since been deleted by the poster, gained traction online, with many social media fans wondering if the singer, who recently gave birth to a son, Sponge, was okay.

In a post to Facebook, however, the songstress allayed the fears of her fans, insisting that she was okay. She claimed that the clip was taken from the video shoot for her song “Asiwona amaPhoyisa, Saba Layikhaya.” She urged those worried about her to just relax.

While some fans bought her story, others thought she was drunk in the shared clip, and that her recent post was nothing but an attempt at damage control.

By the way, Babes Wodumo is one of the leading voices in gqom music in South Africa. She had indicated her interest in dropping an amapiano song but has not released anything so far. She’s said to be working with Kamo Mphela.

Well, what do you think?
