One million dollars, which translates to about 20 million rands, is an impressive sum by South African standards. A person worth that much can comfortably be called rich in the Rainbow Nation.
But what exactly is with the figure? Well, it’s the sum MacG was reportedly offered to sell his Podcast and Chill podcasting brand and service.
MacG himself revealed this much during a recent episode of the podcast. According to him, he got an offer from an American company to sell Podcast and Chill for $1 million.
While the offer appeared tempting, MacG wouldn’t take it. He rejected it firsthand. According to him, he enjoys the freedom he has as the owner of the podcast. In the event he sold the podcast, he would be reduced to a presenter and wouldn’t have the freedom that comes with being an owner and in control.
While some tweeps thought he should have sold the podcast and become rich from the deal, some praised him for the decision to hold on to the podcast as owner. You can check out the clip below.
