Will Smith Accused Of Lying About Contacting Chris Rock After Oscars Slap

Chris Rock’s brother Tony Rock accuses Will Smith of lying about contacting his brother after embarrassing Oscars slap.

Everyone was stunned when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock on the Oscars stage. After the incident, the Academy Award winner posted a video apologizing. He also shared a statement that read,

“That was one of those things about that moment, I just didn’t realize— I wasn’t thinking about how many people got hurt in that moment. So I want to apologize to Chris’ mother, I want to apologize to Chris’ family, specifically Tony Rock. We had a great relationship, you know? Tony Rock was my man. And this is probably irreparable.”

Tony Rock, Chris’ brother, has accused Smith of lying about reaching out to his brother to apologize. While on BigBoyTV, Rock said,

“That wasn’t true, that wasn’t true. I think like, two nights later, he said, ‘I reached out to Chris, and he didn’t want to talk.’ That wasn’t true.”

“He doesn’t owe me anything, I just thought we were better than that.”

He continued, “My phone number has never changed. So, I just thought I’d get a phone call one day like, ‘Ay, let’s just you and I just talk.’ It hasn’t happened, so I guess it’s not going to happen.”
