Welcome to my ubetoo!
So, what can I tell about myself?
Well, for starters, I love music, mostly in the rock/metal genre but I'm very fond of film music and that kind of music that's best described as pop/rock.
I have lived in Lycksele, Sweden for my entire life until resently. I have now settled base camp in Linköping, Sweden.
I started playing guitar and therefore got interessted in music when I was 16 years old. I played the songs of my heroes, Edguy, Helloween, Masterplan, Avantasia, Gamma Ray etc.
After a few years playing powermetal, I got interessted in the more complex metal, such as Kamelot, Angra, Evergrey, Symphony X, Dream Theater etc.
Today my mind is open for all kinds of music and I never restrict my compositions to a genre.
I have always been more of a songwriter than a musican and in the process of writing song over years I've developed my fair guitarskills into good and also developed decent skills in bass and piano/keyboard and lately I've started to sing (my songs here are the first songs I've ever sung and recorded), just for the simple reason to record and play my songs. You see, I've had a hard time finding a complete band. Not that I'm an asshole or so, well, very rearly at least, I just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. If you who read this ever tried to put together a band in a small town that possesses people with a vaguely interest in music, you know what I'm about.
What to tell about my dreams?
I wish, of course, I could make a living on my music in any way I feel comfortable with. Pop, rock or metal, alone, in a band or as a composer, guitarist, singer, keyboardist or bassist... Whatever, as long as I can write my own music.
My ultimate life would be to have a fruitful career as an artist for a long time and on my later years start to compose music for films. But if I go in 100% for that life, then I would know how my life would be like and what's the fun with that? I take one day after the other and take whether advantage I get and see where it leads me.
At the moment I play in a melodic, progressive metal band called "Left Behind", ready to take over the world. Some of our demo songs is available here on my ubetoo page, give them a listen.
