After months of teasing and publicity, South African DJ and record producer Kabelo Motha Mahlangu popularly known by his stage name as Kabza De Small releases one of the most anticipated album of the year titled “I Am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust”.

It’s been an amazing year for the renowned DJ so far, joining forces with DJ Maphorisa to release several projects and singles, Kabza alongside DJ Maphorisa remained very prominent during the lock down as they keep their fans entertained dby hosting numerous lockdown parties and collaborated with other top artists in the industry.

Kabza De Small since his rise has given us albums like Pretty Girls Love Amapiano Volume 1&2. He has also together with Phori given us major projects that took the industry by storm, some of these projects include Once Upon a Time in Lockdown, Scorpion Kings, Scorpion Kings Live and more. As a matter of fact, they call themselves The Scorpion Kings

I Am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust is Kabza De Small’s third solo studio project and it houses 27 tracks with features from industry heavyweight both from Nigeria and South Africa, third track features Wizkid, Cassper Nyovest and Burna Boy who was recently accused by Sho Madjozi for ordering a takedown of “Own It” remix, a video they were both featured on, see full album tracklist below:

The album artwork is a cartoon representation of Kabza De Small wearing a crown. In “I Am the King of Amapiano: Sweet & Dust” album, the renowned talent proclaims himself as the king of Amapiano music, a title most have fought for since the emergence of the genre.

Though not the creator of the genre but Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa and some other prominent DJs have succeeded in keeping the new genre alive in Mzansi. Announced on DJ Maphorisa and Kabza’s social media page, the album was released in the early night of Friday 26th, 2020 and it has gained support from other industry friends and insider who have taken to their social media pages to congratulate and give rave reviews about the album.

Maphorisa who is an affiliate of Kabza De Small who is an affiliate of Kabza previously put out a warning for anyone planning to release an album today to not try it, this is because of how much impact the album is expected to have on the industry.
