Bheki Cele Claims Ukhozi FM’s DJ Zimdollar Called For Killing Of late NIU Officer

South African police services minister Bheki Cele has slammed popular DJ  Zimdollar of Ukhzi FM for calling for the killing of the National Intervention Unit (NIU) officers. The minister made his claim during the funeral service of one of the NIU officers, Sitembiso Mazibuko, who was gunned down recently.

It was a shock to many when the police affairs minister made the claim that Zimdollar, a popular female DJ at Ukhozi FM, actually called for the killing of the officer. Sadly, the killing was carried out while the officer was at Ntuzuma.

His claims reverberated across South Africa, leading to a heated debate about the killing and the call the popular radio host made that must have led to it all. Some called that she should be fired from Ukhozi FM, easily one of the prominent radio stations in South Africa.

Some wondered why she had not been arrested since, if indeed she had called for the NIU officer to be killed. Some wondered if indeed she made the call – or whether people were just trying to push a narrative to destabilize her career.

We cannot independently confirm any of this at the moment. Still, it will be interesting to see what happens to Zimdollar after the minister’s revelation.
