Bonko Khoza Talks Mental Health, Reflects On His Role As Mqhele Zulu In “The Wife”

Bonko Khoza was one of the key figures in the soaraway series “The Wife.” So when he left after the second season of the series, many viewers were disappointed – as were his core fans.

Well, the thespian has just put things into perspective, reflecting on his role as Mqhele Zulu in “The Wife.” According to him, while he has featured in several flicks in his acting career, playing the role of Mqhele was one of the hardest.

he noted that he had to quit the series after two seasons because he wasn’t in a good space mentally. So he had to leave. Mental health comes first, according to him. His spot on the series was soon taken over by Wiseman Ncube.

 

While Bonko Khoza lasted on “The Wife,” he won many viewers over with his performance. Many often point to his sex scene with Khanyi Mbau as “mindblowing” and one of the most memorable.
