Mpura’s death and eventual burial had many drowning in grief, including, of course, his mother. The Gogo has had a hard time processing Mpura and admits it is going to be very hard for her.
Mpura’s mother was one of those who spoke during the burial of the amapiano ace. She was obviously the hardest hit by the songster’s death. In a deeply moving speech, she made it clear that she didn’t know if she would survive his death.

By the way, Lady Du, a notable associate of Mpura’s, also gave a speech at the funeral. Her speech was shared online and got many emotional. Ever since news of Mpura’s death broke, she had taken it too hard. He has even reportedly gotten a new ink on her body to memorialize her friend.
