Gender-based violence, abbreviated GBV, is a very serious problem in South Africa – so serious, in fact, that dozens of cases are reported daily. In this instance, of course, some also go unreported.
With GBV being the touchy subject that it is, it is inevitable that South Africans are bound to react when anyone, especially a celebrity, makes a joke about GBV which people consider inappropriate.
Big Brother Mzansi star Yolanda found this too late to her regret, She was expelled from the reality show oer her comments on GBV, which a lot of people found inappropriate.
“I want to molest her,” Yolanda had said at the time. Going into more detail, she noted that she wanted to get into Ghost’s bed and molest her. Her statements were considered brazen and inappropriate and she was disqualified.
After a brief reflection, she must have found that she erred in wanting to molest another housemate, so she apologised, seeking the forgiveness of her fans, Ghost, viewers of the show and anyone else who must have been offended by her action. YOu can check out the post below.
