Mzansi singer and songwriter, Zahara has been ordered to hand over her passport as her legal troubles pile up.
It has honestly been a tough year for Mzansi singer and songwriter, Zahara. Apparently, the talented artiste is facing so much legal troubles. Last week, news broke that she had been found guilty of being held in contempt in court after failing to show up for tax related issues. Now, that’s rough.
As we all know, a warrant for her arrest was issued. Fortunately, Zahara handed herself over to the cops. There isn’t much about the case that has been unveiled to the public. A recent statement by the spokesperson of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Phini Njonondwane reveals that the singer has been asked to hand over her passport.
Apparently, she’s facing one count of contravening tax laws and six for failing to submit her tax returns from 2013 to 2018. She could either be sentenced to 4 years in prison, or pay a whopping fine. We hope things work out for her.
