After her family confirmed her death in a statement, more details have been shared regarding her memorial and funeral.
According to multiple reports, she will be buried on Friday, 29 September, at Fourways Memorial Park, Johannesburg. The choice of the location is very symbolic in that it is the same place where family members were buried. from her mother ZIndzi Mandela down to her grnaad mother, Winnie.
The same location also has the remains of Zoleka Mandela’s daughter Zenani Mandela. Until her death, Zoleka stood out as an author. Since her tragic cancer diagnosis, she had taken it upon herself to keep her fans updated on her journey fighting the disease.
Her last post to her fans indicated that there had been a progression in her cancer. Even at that, she didn’t lose hope. She followed her doctor’s instructions and prescriptions and fought the illness until there was no more fight in her. And now Mzansi is saddened and ready to say its final farewell to her after a good fight.
