South African 2023 Amapiano Awards Nominations
Stressing the significance of African music and culture on the world stage, “Amapiano to the world” is this year’s theme for the second edition of the South African Amapiano Awards.
The awards ceremony will be hosted at the Sun Arena on April 2, 2023, and it promises to be one of the most anticipated music events of the year in South Africa.
The South African Amapiano Awards were established in 2021 and honor the country’s most popular and talented Amapiano musicians.
The second edition of the South African Amapiano Awards promises to be bigger and better than the inaugural presentation, with a record number of nominees and interesting collaborations. With Kabza De Small receiving nine nominations, the battle will be intense. Young Stunner and Toss are close behind with eight nominations each, including Best Amapiano Lyricist and Best Amapiano Debut. Uncle Waffles garnered seven nods, and Kelvin Momo, Daliwonga, and Focalistic each earned six nominations.
The awards will also feature first-time nominees, including Le Tee, Pabi Cooper, and Nkosazana Daughter. Robot Boii, an up-and-coming musician, will host the event.
The awards have various categories, including Best Amapiano street dancer, Best Amapiano Online DJ/Performance Platform, Best Amapiano Artist Manager, Best Amapiano Festive Hit, Best Amapiano Breakthrough Act, Best Amapiano Dance Act, Friends of Amapiano, Best Amapiano Private School Act, Best Amapiano Music Video, Best Amapiano Styled Artist, Best Amapiano Collaboration, Best Amapiano Album/EP, Most Viral Amapiano Song of the Year, Best Amapiano Newcomer, and Best Amapiano Produced Song.
Amapiano is a famous South African music genre that emerged in the townships of the province of Gauteng.
In recent years, Amapiano music has gained popularity across the continent and around the world, and the awards event strives to highlight the worldwide influence that African music and culture are having.

The iconic South African footwear brand Bathu has already established a collaboration with the awards ceremony and its managing director expressed enthusiasm about incorporating the South African Amapiano Awards into their objective to assist individuals in achieving success.
On Friday, March 17, the Yanoverse Amapiano Cloud, the official app for the SA Amapiano Awards, will be available for download from Google Play and the App Store. South African citizens can vote for their favorite nominee using SMS codes or the Yanoverse Amapiano Cloud app, which is available for download from Google Play and the App Store. The South African Amapiano Awards are one of the country’s most anticipated music awards, recognizing the top Amapiano performers in South Africa and abroad.
