Privacy Policy

This policy explains how UBETOO handles personal data when you browse, listen, create an account, upload music, interact with others, report content, or contact support.

Data we collect

Account data includes your name, username, email, password hash, account type, preferences, country or language when supplied, and profile content. Creator data includes audio, artwork, credits, rights statements, release details, technical file metadata, and moderation history. Activity data includes qualified listening events, likes, follows, reposts, comments, playlists, notifications, session identifiers, approximate network information, device or browser signatures stored in hashed form where practical, and security logs.

Legal and support submissions can include contact details, descriptions, URLs, electronic signatures, source IP addresses, case notes, and communications needed to investigate and document an outcome.

Why we use data

We process data to provide accounts and playback, maintain libraries and history, process uploads, publish authorized content, calculate honest charts, generate explainable recommendations, secure the service, prevent abuse, moderate disputes, answer support, comply with legal duties, and establish or defend legal claims. Depending on context, the legal basis is contract, consent, legitimate interests, legal obligation, or protection of vital rights.

Sharing

Public profile and catalog information is visible according to your chosen settings. Service providers may process limited data for hosting, storage, email, security, analytics you consent to, or operational support under contractual restrictions. We may disclose information when legally required, to address credible safety threats, or in a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards. UBETOO does not sell personal data.

Retention and security

Account and content records remain while needed to provide the service. Deleted material can remain for a limited period in backups, fraud records, moderation evidence, financial records, or legal holds. Listening and security data is retained only as long as operationally justified. Access controls, encrypted sessions, password hashing, private media storage, logging, and least-privilege processes reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile and explicit-content preferences in Settings, manage optional cookies, remove eligible drafts, and control public playlist visibility. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier processing. Some data must be retained for disputes, fraud prevention, or law. Submit requests through Support; identity verification may be required.

Children and international use

UBETOO is not directed to children below the applicable minimum age. Parents may contact Support about a minor's data. Data may be processed where the service and its providers operate; legally required transfer safeguards will be used.
