Parental Controls

Tracks marked explicit are hidden by default for every new account. An authenticated user must deliberately enable explicit content in Settings.

What the filter covers

The preference filters marked tracks from discovery, recommendations, search, genre and mood pages, and library suggestions. Direct public URLs may still exist on the wider web, so device-level and network-level controls remain important for supervised minors.

Creator responsibility

Uploaders must mark explicit lyrics or themes accurately. Listeners can report missing labels. Moderators may apply or require a label, reject metadata, or restrict a track.

Parent and guardian options

Use a supervised account with explicit content disabled, protect account credentials, review public profiles and comments together, and use operating-system content controls where appropriate. To report an underage account or safety concern, contact Support or use the report form.
