Singer 9ice also popularly called Ancestor is definitely one of the best Nigerian indigenous singer who has made a name for himself over the time in the Nigerian Music Industry.

Abolore Adegbola popularly know by the stage name 9ice Alapomeji is a Nigerian indigenous musician.The first major break for 9ice came from his first single, “Little Money”. Soon after this, he did collaborations with different Nigerian artists that prompted the release of another hit single, “Ganja Man” produced by ID Cabasa, which was released with other songs in March 2006.

The reggae tone and playful style of the song made it an instant hit. 9ice over time has won himself various awards like the Best Hip Hop Artist at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2008.

At the third edition of the Hip Hop World Awards held in Nigeria, he won the Revelation of the Year award and Best Male Vocal Performer.

He is the founder of Alapomeji Ancestral Records,and has released so many albums under it. With albums like Certificate (2007), Gongo Aso (2008), Tradition (2009), Versus (2011) Bashorun Gaa (2011), Deluxe Version Versus & Bashorun Gaa (2011), CNN/GRA (2014), ID Cabasa (2016) and Greatest of All Times—G. 1. LIVING THINGS
This song by the ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner talks about prosperity and living ones life to the fullest. This song was off his album dedicated to Music Producer ID Cabasa. The song produced by Young John has a familiar beat reinvented with a melody that draws from Highlife and Fuji to create a pop record.

This song by Nigerian Indigenous Singer 9ice saw him talk about asking for God’s divine gift of mercy. In the song 9ice calls on the Lord of Mercy so  he will be blessed again, he also shares what he has been battling as different fans have been asking where is the Grammy award he promised.

The song which features Nigerian Music Legend 2baba is a track from his second album effort in the music scene. The song talked about them being the most incredible artist on the streets and even out of Nigeria.

4. EPANA
This song by Nigerian indigenous singer titled  “Epana“ which simply translates to “Off the light” or ” lights out” is another great classical song by 9ice which shows he is still indeed the Party Rider. “Epana” was produced by rising producer, Shabba and was mixed/mastered by veteran sound engineer, Swaps.

5. GBAMU GBAMU
This song by Nigerian Indigenous Singer 9ice talks about unlimited happiness. This is a song off his “Tradition” album in 2009 and also went on to receive massive airplay and featured on major Charts in the Country.

With lines like “O le geshin ninu mi” which translates to reaching a stage of happiness where a horse can be ridden on ones stomach ( simply butterflies in the tummy) is one that shows a sense of utmost happiness.

This song by the indigenous Singer 9ice talks about the importance of praying to God in achieving success and said he owes his success to God. This is a song off his “ID Cabasa” album which he dedicated to his longtime friend and producer ID Cabasa.

The visuals of the song  which was directed by HG2 Films shows 9ice in a prayerful mood and did absolute justice to the lyrics of the song.

7. ECONOMY
The song by the Nigerian Indigenous Singer talked about the social vices affecting the country, ranging from the bad economy to lack of basic amenities.

The mid-tempo audio candy was produced by DJ Coublon. 9ice took us on a lyrical venture on this one  into how the current economic situation is affecting him and indeed everyone else.

This song by Nigerian indigenous singer 9ice titled “Wahala Dey” was  produced by Carpenter. The song which served as a sequel to his single “Mercy” is definitely a hit song everyone can relate to.

9. SHAKASHIKI
This song by Nigerian Indigenous Singer 9ice Alapomeji talked about the importance of dance and having a joyful heart. The song is a single off  his “CNN” album in 2014.

This song has received massive airplay on TV and radio stations and has also topped major track. The dance-able tune which is sure to rock any club is a hit.

10. ARAMI
This song by the Alapomeji Ancestral Records Boss is a lovely single which he released in 2019. Arami which translates to ‘My Body” is a melodious tune and was produced by Carpenter.
